Born in Italy, Serving the World
MentorLab was born from a simple belief: that mentoring, when practiced with intention and craft, becomes a force for profound transformation.
A gift in people’s lives.
We started by asking: What would it look like to bring the precision of Italian craftsmanship to the art of mentoring? The answer became MentorLab, a boutique where every programme is custom-designed, every mentor is thoroughly prepared, and every relationship is carefully nurtured.
Today, MentorLab serves organizations worldwide. We’ve designed dozens of programmes, trained hundreds of mentors, and facilitated thousands of transformational conversations.
Along the way, we realized that to truly transform organizations through mentoring, we needed to build capability, not just deliver programmes. That insight led to the creation of the International Mentoring Academy—our EMCC Global-accredited school for training professional mentors.
We expanded further, creating The Lab: a community platform where mentors, coaches, and leaders access tools, share knowledge, and continue learning together. We wrote Becoming the Mentor to show our philosophy and practice in action with a wider audience.

We are students of mentoring, continuously learning from research, practice, and experience. Our team holds certifications from EMCC Global and the International Coaching Federation—the gold standards in our field.
But knowledge isn’t just about credentials. We actively contribute to the field through writing, research, and thought leadership. We attend international conferences, publish insights, and stay at the forefront of developmental practice.
We know mentoring deeply—its history, methodologies, power, and limitations. This knowledge foundation ensures everything we do is grounded in evidence and best practice.
Knowledge without application is sterile. We practice what we know every day.
We design and deploy mentoring programmes that transform organizations. We train mentors through our Academy to global standards. We coach leaders navigating complexity. We supervise practitioners committed to excellence.
We walk the talk. Our team members have logged thousands of hours in mentoring relationships—as mentors, mentees, supervisors, and trainers. We know what works because we practice it every day and learn from it.
Action is our laboratory. Practice is how we honor the craft.
Mentoring is not a role we play or a service we deliver. It’s a way of being in the world.
We are mentors in how we listen, how we question, how we hold space for others’ growth. This identity shapes every interaction, whether with clients, colleagues, or the broader community.
